Surrey County Council says it is 'working tirelessly' to understand what happened to Sara.
By Hamish Mureddu-Reid & Helena WilkinsonA 10-year-old girl who was found dead in Surrey was known to the authorities, the county council has confirmed.Surrey Police confirmed they wanted to speak to Sara's father Urfan Sharif, and his partner and brother who flew to Pakistan the day before she was found.
Council leader Tim Oliver said the National Child Safeguarding Panel had been notified and a multi-agency review was under way. He explained: "A Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review is a statutory process, bringing together partners including the police, health, social care and education to review practice of all agencies involved, organisational structures and learning."
Pakistan's foreign ministry and the FIA have not confirmed or shared any verbal or written orders on this case.
