American actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who you may recognise from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, will be the boss of serial killer Dexter Morgan in the new series.

The series will see also Dexter adopt a code designed to help him find and kill people who he feels deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar – thanks to the guidance of his father. Joining Patrick and Sarah are Heathers and True Romance actor Christian Slater and Sex And The City actor James Remar who had previously played the role in the Dexter show, which ran for eight seasons between 2006 and 2013.
