One of the nation’s leading anti-abortion groups is choosing a side in Missouri’s GOP Senate primary, becoming the latest to back Rep. Hartzler in a contest that top Republicans say could make or break their chances of holding a Senate seat this fall
. There aren’t any immediate plans to endorse in additional Senate primaries, according to the group.
But Musgrave, calling Hartzler “Planned Parenthood’s worst nightmare,” noted the congresswoman’s history of working to oppose abortion rights, including serving as a member of the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives and as chair of social conservatives’ House Values Action Team. Hartzler overbefore a doctor can perform an abortion, among other requirements. She also secured SBA List’s endorsement during her House reelection bids.
