Not even a four-putt on 18 could stop Scottie Scheffler 🏆
World number one Scottie Scheffler eased to the 2022 Masters title despite some late brilliance from Rory McIlroy.
Scheffler was even able to four-putt the final green, including three from within four feet for a double-bogey on 18, such was the comfort of his triumph. The Northern Irishman, chasing a career grand slam and a first Major in eight years, holed an incredible bunker shot on 18 to post seven-under par and briefly get to within three shots of the lead. The number one player in the world, now with four wins in his last six starts on the PGA Tour, put the hammer down and extended his lead, eventually cruising to a easy victory at the famous Georgia course.
However, it would’ve taken something special to stop Scheffler, who seized what could be the first of a few green jackets if this unparalleled dominance continues.
