Scottie Scheffler's PGA Championship almost came to an abrupt end on Friday morning after the world No. 1 was arrested ahead of the second round at Valhalla Golf Club
Scottie Scheffler has revealed he started his warm-up for the second round of the PGA Championship in a jail cell after the American star was arrested outside Valhalla Golf Club.
An hour later Scheffler attempted to arrive to begin his preparation for round two, and on the back of the accident attempted to bypass traffic, which left him in hot water with the law. Scottie Scheffler breaks silence after being arrested and charged with assaulting police officer Eventually the 27-year-old was released and whisked back to the golf course before teeing off for round two. And in typical Scheffler fashion, the world No. 1 carded a superb five-under-par 65 - which proved all the more impressive having found himself in a police cell just hours prior.
