Apalachee High School students Mason Schermerhorn, 14, and Christian Angulo, 14, were named as victims of the deadly school shooting in Georgia, US, on Wednesday morning, as were teachers Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53
The four victims of Wednesday's sickening school shooting have been named and pictured as a community mourns yet another terrible mass killing.
A vigil was held on Wednesday night to remember the victims who were allegedly gunned down by suspected shooter Colt Gray, who is also 14. The heartbroken community gathered together in their shared grief as Chris Hosey, Georgia Bureau of Investigation director, announced their names at a 9pm press conference.
The FBI has disclosed that they interviewed suspected Appalachia school shooter Colt Gray and his father a year ago regarding threatening social media posts made by the teenager. In May of 2023, the bureau's National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about online threats made to commit a school shooting at an unspecified location and time, according to the FBI's Atlanta Office.
In Barrow County, Georgia, community members gathered at Jug Tavern Park to remember and pray for the victims of the fatal shooting that took place at Apalachee High School in Winder, GA earlier on Wednesday morning.
