A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued by the Met Office as forecasters predict heavy showers across parts of Scotland.
The warning begins 5pm on Monday, May 8, remaining until 11pm as heavy showers continue throughout the evening. Areas of flooding are expected with difficult driving conditions as a result of wet weather. Potential damage to homes and buildings is also being warned due to lightning strikes throughout the night.
