🏴 Scotland will not be forced to join the Euro if it rejoins the EU after voting for independence from the UK, says Nicola Sturgeon
: “There is no intention of forcing countries to join the Euro if they are not willing or not able to do so.”
However, the First Minister’s spokesman later refused to say whether an independent Scotland would commit to joining the Euro during any accession negotiations, adding: “These will be issues to be discussed further down the line.”
