Conor McNicholl, 25, was gutted to discover that the robbery had happened at his home on Pilrig Street in Leith, Edinburgh, on Tuesday.

A Scots Deliveroo rider has been left without his only mode of transport after a callous thief stole his bike.

Conor said: "I came home from my day job and was planning on doing Deliveroo straight after I came home and as I walked into the building I thought 'that's funny my bike isn't where I usually put it, maybe one of my flatmates took it upstairs' and then when I checked my flat that's when I realised it had actually been stolen.

"Now I can't do that and I'm going to really struggle with bills. Its disappointing that someone has stolen my only form of transport." Conor said that he is "diligent" when it comes to securing his bike and believes that Edinburgh is a "hot spot" for bike theft right now.
