Jeanette Irvine, 50, required 11 stitches and surgical glue to mend the nine-inch slit in her neck
A mum who was left scarred for life after an alleged bottle attack at a Scots nightclub has told how her wound left her young children terrified by the sight of her.
Jeanette says the gruesome wound from her cheek to her neck and a black eye frightened her children so much they wouldn't come near her. Six months on, the incident has had a long-lasting impact on Jeanette's confidence. She has been left with a scar that runs from her cheek down her neck, which she covers up with jumpers to avoid being stared at in public.
