Notorious paedophile prison pal of US fugitive Nicolas Rossi testifies in extradition case
A notorious paedophile, who is prison pals with US fugitive Nicholas Rossi, was called to testify at his extradition hearing.
The child sex beast, who was also caged in 2016 for abusing two young girls in the 1990s, claimed jail staff told Rossi he didn’t need a wheelchair or oxygen. Mungo Bovey KC, acting for Rossi, told the court on Thursday he didn’t intend to call further witnesses.After consulting his client on Friday morning, Mr Bovey acceded to his client’s desire to call King in his defence.
The sex offender claimed Rossi pleaded for help, adding: “They picked on him from there on. It was overkill. It was constant hounding. Every time he asked for help they would refuse.” King claimed Rossi’s condition has “deteriorated” and he’d “went into his shell”. He added: “It’s not good for him.” He was arrested at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in December 2021 while receiving treatment for Covid-19.
