The legendary Celtic captain is on the lookout for his next job after being shown the door by English League One side Fleetwood Town.
When Brendan Rodgers swept back into power in Glasgow’s east end there was an assumption made Scott Brown might return with him.
“You’ve got to go out there and get past that and leave the blanket behind. That’s what he’s doing. He loves football and he loves football people. That’s what drives him. He loves getting on with people and seeing people getting better - that’s his thing. “At Fleetwood he did a good job but everything changed around him - the atmosphere around the owner, the budget and everything like that.
The former Celtic and Scotland boss, now technical director at Dens Park, said: “What you are looking for is a club that will give you the most help of being successful - everything they’ve got. “No, you’re in control of the style of play and you’re in control of who you bring in. That’s what a manager needs.
