Word of the 55-year-old's self-inflicted death came hours after the Harris County sheriff said the suspect committed the killing as he broke into his ex-wife's house.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A man wanted in Harris County for allegedly shooting his ex-wife to death took his own life when U.S. Marshals caught up with him in Dallas.
"The suspect, Lorenzo White, was located in Dallas, TX by US Marshals. Marshals spotted the suspect's vehicle and officers with Dallas PD initiated a traffic stop," Gonzalez tweeted."White refused to exit the vehicle and placed a gun to his head. Dallas PD SWAT team responded to the scene. After a short period of time, White shot himself and was pronounced deceased."
He told dispatchers he thought the intruder was his ex-stepfather, White. While he was on the phone with 911, the teen said he heard multiple gunshots.
