Granite Hills star pitched with caution after racking up HRs
The first time it happened she was just 8, but Sofia Mujica remembers it like it was yesterday.
Now a sophomore at Granite Hills High, the catcher had quite a debut for the Eagles last spring when she was involved in a chase to lead the state in home runs. “I’ve played for my dad my whole life, and he taught me as a hitter I want the bat in my hands when the game is on the line.Harrison leads the section’s career list with 41 home runs. Mujica now has 25.
Mujica doesn’t like getting the Barry Bonds treatment since she walked five times in the first three games.
