Step inside this family of five’s functional, yet luxurious and contemporary 3-storey seafront home in Skerries, Co. Dublin.

Interior architecture and design studio Think Contemporary was founded by interior design duo Joanne Kelly and Anthony Buggy. When they were engaged by a homeowners in Barnageeragh, Skerries, the brief was to transform a 3 storey seafront property into a functional home for the family of five, while still elevating the design and bringing in luxury elements.

The ground floor is a large open plan living area, but the family wanted to create designated zones within the space. To achieve this, the team created a central dining space with feature slats to subtly divide the space, giving the living room privacy from the kitchen and dining area. Worktops sourced from Egan Stone and wood flooring from Irwin flooring were introduced to add an organic touch, while most of the furniture is from Cult Furniture and Kave Home.

“The lounge space on the first floor is our clients' favourite space and you can totally see why. With stunning views over the sea, our clients wanted to create a space where they could enjoy their passions: music and entertaining. They wanted this space to feel like an upmarket bar, creating a real hospitality vibe”.
