A selfless Lancashire dad who has saved 'countless mums and babies' has been left heartbroken after his blood bike was stolen
A dedicated volunteer who has saved "countless mums and babies" by delivering emergency blood to hospitals has been left heartbroken after thieves stole his motorbike.
As a professional coach driver and ex-motorbike instructor the dad-of-two decided to make the most of his skills in a bid to help others and relieve the pressure on the NHS. During the Covid pandemic Mark regularly drove all over the UK collecting PPE equipment and dropping it off at hospitals in short supply.
Hannah, 25, said: "My dad literally saves lives for free and this is what he gets in return, it’s heart-breaking. He will do anything for anyone." Hannah said her dad rides "all over", wherever he is asked to go to collect and drop off supplies, and she said he has saved the lives of countless new mums and babies at Ormskirk District General Hospital. He also regularly rides to other hospitals in the region including Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
