“I mean, Alex Jones is a clown. He's a performer, right?” Sen. Chris Murphy said when asked during an interview on the Yahoo News “Skullduggery” podcast what he would say to Jones if he had the opportunity to talk to him.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., called on top Republican and conservative leaders to publicly denounce Alex Jones in the wake of Wednesday’s jury verdict that the Infowars conspiracy theoristof the children killed in the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

“I mean, Alex Jones is a clown. He's a performer, right?” Murphy said Thursday, when asked during an interview on thewhat he would say to Jones if he had the opportunity to talk to him. “I mean, I can't understand what goes on inside the brain of somebody like that. I can't understand any human being would delight in torturing the parents of dead children. I don't know how you sort of live with yourself if that's what you do every day.
