The Taoiseach will help launch a €1bn fund to support peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland during a visit to Belfast today. Leo Varadkar will have talks with European Commission Vice President Maroš Šef?ovi? and Northern Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris, who will also attend. He will be accompanied by Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe.
Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales has resigned after he kissed a player following the country’s Women’s World Cup win. Mr Rubiales, who was suspended by football’s governing body FIFA over the kiss, said in an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV that he was stepping down because he “cannot continue my work”.Rescuers in Morocco have used their bare hands to dig for survivors, more than 48 hours after a powerful earthquake claimed more than 2,000 lives.
