Seriously injured man desperately knocked on door of flat for help following 'targeted' attack

A seriously injured man desperately knocked on the door of a flat for help following a 'targeted' attack. The victim, a 38-year-old male, arrived at an apartment on Maple Avenue, Maplewood, at around midday on January 28.

An investigation was launched by Cheshire Police, who believe at this time that the attack was targeted. Police are now appealing for witnesses and any video footage of the incident, which took place in the Goathland Way area. Two men, aged 36 and 43, were arrested on suspicion of assault. They have both since been released pending further enquiries into the incident.
