Steaming on Sauchiehall Street One of our favourite past times. You know the scene - chips n cheese in hand, can of Irn-Bru in the other as you join the never-ending queue for a taxi or stare manically at passing cars trying to figure out if its your Uber.Taps aff These days it doesn't take much. As soon as the temperature tops 16C it can only mean one thing. 'Taps aff' and head to Kelvingrove for a bevy and a BBQ. The sights you see when the sun is out.
Taxi driver chat Sober or not, you can't get into a taxi without asking the driver: "Been busy the night?". Alternatively, you're putting on the performance of your life trying to prove you're not one of the other drunken messes that the driver has surely seen that evening.Keeping your eye on the Duke of Wellington statue Is the cone there? You hope as you walk by and if it isn't? Cue mass uproar and a tweet being sent out IMMEDIATELY.
Bevy Ah, childhood memories. Most Glaswegians will remember the struggles of trying to buy alcohol as an under-ager. Waiting outside the shop and asking unsuspecting adults to jump in for you. The whole experience has to be up there with one of the most stressful but exhilarating you'll ever have. Here we! Glasgow is famous for its legendary music venues, but it seems almost a tradition now that every gig enjoys a rendition of "here we, here we, here we f*****g go!".
