The risk for tornadoes and severe weather is over in San Antonio, but storms produced pockets of up to quarter sized hail in eastern Bexar County late Monday night.

Overnight, showers and storms will continue east of Highway 281 and I-35. However, rain chances will end completely from west to east as the night goes on. By dawn Tuesday, skies will be clear and rain will be long gone.It was a close call for the Alamo City. While some in San Antonio only experienced sun, others saw damaging hail tonight -- especially east of 281 -- near Cibolo, Schertz, and New Braunfels. A tornado likely caused damage in Kingsbury in Guadalupe County and near Luling.

Multiple tornadoes touched down in Austin. The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the counties shaded in RED in the map above. A “watch” means that residents in the affected area should watch out for the potential of storms capable of producing tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind gusts until 10 p.m. Monday.
