The Tallaght Club say that Steward will not be hired by the club again in any capacity.

Shamrock Rovers have released a statement, vowing to never again hire the Steward that was removed from their game on Sunday.

Footage has circulated on social media of a Steward clashing with Galway fans in Shamrock Rovers' draw on Sunday. "The individual is not associated with the club's main matchday security partner, Integrity Security, and was an independent contractor used on matchdays. This individual will not be hired in any capacity by Shamrock Rovers F.C. again. Shamrock Rovers F.C is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable match day experience for all at Tallaght Stadium.

"The individual concerned was removed by the Gardai and the matter is now in their hands and the club will not make any further comment." Shamrock Rovers drew against Galway on Sunday evening following a late equaliser from Danny Mandroiu, cancelling out Patrick Hickey's 74th minute goal.
