'We will all miss her dearly.'
The family of a much-loved woman have thanked emergency services for assistance during a missing persons search.The 88-year-old, was last seen in the Hopefield Crescent area of Portrush at around 7.15pm on Wednesday January 25. This prompted a major missing persons appeal, which saw the community help with the searches.Speaking to Belfast Live, Maureen's family confirmed that she had been found deceased in the early hours of Friday morning.
They said: "Our family wanted to thank the police, rescue teams and all volunteers for their search efforts for our aunt Maureen, and to thank them for the kindness and support shown towards our family during this horrendous time. "Maureen was fun loving, enjoyed being around people and travelling the world, and she was always up for a laugh. She loved her family, her caring neighbours and her church community.
