Former Shelbourne player Lorcan Fitzgerald returns to the club as their Under-20 League of Ireland Academy Manager, while Gemma Murphy joins as the new Women's Academy Manager. Fitzgerald brings his coaching experience from Wexford and Bray Wanderers, while Murphy has worked with various clubs and the FAI.
Shelbourne have confirmed the appointment of former full-back Lorcan Fitzgerald as their Under-20 League of Ireland Academy Manager, and Gemma Murphy as their new Women’s Academy Manager.
He was often spotted in the Tolka Park stands last season, where he watched Damien Duff’s side win a first Premier Division crown in 18 years. Shels technical director Luke Byrne added: “It’s amazing news that we are bringing Lorcan back to the club. I played with him and he was my captain so I know all about his leadership qualities and the standards he demands from those in his dressing room.
