Shelbourne have signed Daniel Kelly from Derry City, with manager Damien Duff hailing the move as 'massive' for the reigning champions. Kelly, a pacey winger, is Shelbourne's second signing of the transfer window and joins after a stint with Derry City.

He made 26 appearances for the Brandywell club in 2024 before injury ended his season prematurely in August. “On the pitch he brings top speed to our play, something we have wanted to bring to our team for a long while. He is direct, wants to score goals and most importantly wants to win.” Kelly said: “I was over the moon to get the call. Shelbourne is a huge club and it will be a major honour to represent Shels.
