A man is facing two counts of aggravated assault for aiming at two people after a SWAT standoff occurred in a Tooele neighborhood

According to Tooele City Police Department Corporal Colbey Bently, officers received a call at around 12:45 p.m. this afternoon for shots fired.

“The way this turned out is the absolute best we could have hoped for," he said."Our officers weren’t hurt, the public wasn’t hurt the suspect wasn’t hurt. This was the best-case scenario.” A shelter in place order has been lifted for homes on Skyline Road, Oak Lane and Deer Meadow Loop in Tooele, police reported.
