The ceremony will be followed by the Shepherd's Ball and ends a week of events leading up to gala day
Moffat Shepherd and Lass, Ben Dalling and Kelsey Wallace, will be officially installed in the roles by Miss Joanna Watson tonight at 6pm on the town hall outdoor stage.
The ceremony – with them wearing their special and distinctive tartan robes – will be followed by the popular Shepherd’s Ball and ends a week of events in the town running up to tomorrow’s Moffat Gala Day, the highlight of which will be the crowning of the Queen of Upper Annandale, Kathryn Wilson, at 2pm on the outdoor stage at the town hall.
Led by Penicuik and District Pipe Band, the parade – which will include Moffat current and past principals – will leave to make its way to the town hall, at 1.40pm.
