Nottinghamshire Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a grey pick-up truck driving around the area before the incident

Residents on a"usually quiet" residential street in a Nottingham suburb have expressed their shock and concern after gunshots were reported on a nearby street. An investigation is underway after armed officers were called to Blundell Close in St Ann's at 12.25am on Thursday, September 19.

"Then a neighbour told me it might have been a shooting at the bottom of Blundell Close. This road is very quiet but we have some naughty boys on Blundell Close. Another parent who also wished to stay anonymous said:"I didn’t hear anything overnight and I didn’t even know it happened until I went out this morning to walk my dog. Someone then messaged to say it was a shooting.

"The person who is renting one of my rooms said he’d heard some gunshots. It’s been very quiet around here lately. I think it’s an isolated incident. All the people who used to cause trouble around here back in the day have jobs now and turned their lives around. "We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw a grey pick-up truck driving in the area in the moments before and after this incident. As our investigation continues residents will notice an increased police presence in the area and are encouraged to talk with our officers if they have any concerns."
