Nicole Morey was attacked and killed by a dog - understood to be the restricted and controversial XL Bully breed - at the front of a house in Ballyneety, Co Limerick last night.
Sources say the scene was horrific and that officers did everything they could in the situation, but tragic Nicole could not be saved. In tributes to Nicole online, family and friends spoke of their devastation - and how the young woman had died on her birthday. In a statement gardai confirmed that officers attended the scene: “At approximately 11.40pm last night, Tuesday 4th June 2024, Gardaí received report and attended an incident where a woman was fatally injured following a dog attack at a domestic residence in Ballyneety, Co. Limerick.
