The new video sparked a big debate with some saying their 'gran wouldn't wear it' - but others totally disagreed
A new £69 reversible jacket available at M&S has divided opinion with some shoppers calling it "drab" and like something found in a 'local charity shop'. On Wednesday , the retailer released a promotional video on its official Facebook page showcasing the quilted two-way piece and sparked a big online response, with more than 100 comments.
In the video, the recycled jacket is styled over a calf length floral dress with white cowboy ankle boots and a beige knitted tie-front sweater vest. The model shows how the item can be versatile by showing the jacket one way, then the other, over the same outfit. Not everyone was a fan of the look or the jacket however. Theresa Stephens said: "That’s a frumpy look. Looks like she’s been shopping at her local charity shop."Diana Harvey said: "Even my Gran wouldn't wear that.
Some Facebook users simply loved the quirky look. One woman asked in reference to the charity shop comparison: "What’s wrong with that? Lots of people shop at thrift stores especially young people.
