Arnold Hoyle of Cleveland died of his wounds at MetroHealth Medical Center after he was wounded in the hip area in the shooting on the 12200 block of Emery Avenue.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 24-year-old man was killed and two people were wounded after shots were fired while a large crowd watched a fireworks display on the city’s West Side, police say.
Police were called to Emery Avenue just after 1 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of people with weapons. When officers arrived, a large crowd had gathered and they found Hoyle with a gunshot wound, police say. Officers gave Hoyle medical assistance until he was taken by ambulance to MetroHealth. Police say “multiple people” were shooting during the incident and that several cars were hit by gunfire. No arrests have been made.in Cleveland and not the only one involving a crowd watching fireworks.
