UPDATE: Border Patrol Agnet E. Lavergne told NBC 7 that he believes a Border Patrol agent was patrolling the area when they were shot at. No one was struck by gunfire and the investigation is ongoing.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to Dulzura Friday after shots were fired in close proximity to Border Patrol agents patrolling the area.
Shots were reported at around 2 p.m. No injuries were reported, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said. SkyRanger 7 was over the scene where dozens of law enforcement vehicles from the Border Patrol, San Diego Sheriff's and San Diego Police were present, as well as a helicopter from the Department of Homeland Security.Stay informed about local news and weather.
