Former Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has made his debut for Danish side Lyngby. The 34-year-old’s first outing for his new side is his first in competitive football for more than two years, his last coming on the final day of the 2020-21 Premier League season. He came on as a substitute against Vejle BK in their Danish Superliga game on Friday night, replacing Saevar Atli Magnusson in the 70th minute with the score 1-1. The game finished in a 1-1 draw.
