Simon's family life Simon is from a famous family in Cork, with his father Hugh Coveney working as a TD and Minister of State at the Department of Finance. His mother's name is Pauline, and he is one of seven children. A fan of all competitive sport, he played Rugby for Garryowen, Cork Constitution and Crosshaven Rugby Club.
