The youngster made his debut for Ireland in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Netherlands at the Aviva Stadium.

Sinclair Armstrong has been given a hero's welcome after returning to the Ireland U21 squad just days after making his debut for the senior side.

The 20-year-old has broken into the first team at Queens Park Rangers and has already scored one goal in the Championship this season. That defeat leaves Stephen Kenny clinging onto his job, and while many expect him to be dismissed, Kenny has found support in both Eamon Dunphy and John Giles. "When you look at all the injuries Kenny has had, he deserves to be looked upon in a favourable light. He deserves more time, in my view."What are they celebrating, though?
