She has been at the station for 25 years

The Dubliner has worked at the station for 25 years, acting as Arts and Media Correspondent for RTÉ News and Current Affairs on television, radio and online. Outside of her reporting, Sinéad has also found success as a crime novelist and university lecturer.

Taking to social media, the broadcaster explained: “A quarter of a century flies when you’re having fun. Working for RTE has allowed me to travel the world, cover fascinating stories, meet many heroes and work with wonderful colleagues who became my friends.”Instagram/sinead.crowley Continuing: “A new adventure begins in September but for now I’d like to thank my RTE family, the best in the business and everyone who shared their stories with me over the years, in particular those in the arts world.”

“I’ll miss the front row seats and the back stage access, although at least now I’ll get to see entire shows again rather than rushing off to edit.”Many of her peers in the industry wished her well with her future endeavors.— Kevin Cummins You will be sorely missed, Sinéad. Your coverage of the arts & culture has been exemplary. So many important things would not have found their way into the news agenda but for you. I hope your successor follows your good example.
