Singer Sinead O'Connor's cause of death has been confirmed a year after the Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker was found dead in her London home aged 56
The Irish singer died on July 26 last year and her cause of death has now been confirmed. The Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker was found "unresponsive" at a home in London on July 26, 2023. Thousands of mourners attended her funeral in the small coastal town of Bray in north County Wicklow in Ireland last August.

Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time." Southwark Coroners Court said in early January: "This is to confirm that Ms O'Connor died of natural causes. The coroner has therefore ceased their involvement in her death.
