Crazy P lead vocalist Danielle Moore has died at 52, and her band paid tribute to her saying 'our hearts are broken' in an emotional statement announcing her death
Danielle Moore, the vocalist with 90s electronic music group Crazy P has died in "sudden and tragic circumstances", her band has announced. Writing on the official Crazy P Facebook page, the band said: "We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died in sudden and tragic circumstances. This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th.
The band was initially formed by Chris Todd and Jim Baron - and originally called Crazy P***s - after the pair met while studying at the University of Nottingham in the mid 1990s. They became known for their electronic blend of soul, house and disco, and were later joined by Danielle as vocalist and Tim Davies on bass and percussionist Mav Kendricks.
They were popular on the festival scene and performed a number of gigs this summer, including Lost Village Festival in Lincolnshire . Following the official announcement on the band's Facebook page, tributes began to pour in for the late singer.
