'I warned weeks ago that voter fatigue was setting in on party leader Mary Lou McDonald and the Shinners because they had no new voices, no new ideas, all they do is negativity and say no to everything'
The Government would be absolutely mad in the head if it does not hold a General Election before the clocks go back at the end of October.
READ MORE: 'Immigration is tearing Ireland's Government apart - they're making an absolute mess of it' But while the Taoiseach Simon Harris and Tanaiste Micheal Martin love elections and were running around the country campaigning at 100 miles an hour Mary Lou was hardly to be seen. Maybe she forgot that if you want the people's trust you have to go door to door, fight for every vote, and earn it.
However none of the main Government parties should get too carried away because the biggest political takeaway from the weekend was the turnout at the polls - just less than 50pc. This meant that for all the ranting, raving and negativity on social media half the population - yes one in two voters - did not bother voting which is a disgrace.
The public also knows with a growing population and the billions being thrown at it there is no quick fix for the housing crisis. But Simon Harris, Micheal Martin and Eamon Ryan are clever people. They have an economy that is booming, low unemployment and billions in spare cash. Many people also like Simon Harris because he is as honest as the day is long and with his amazing energy wants to genuinely help all the people of Ireland.
