David Beckham has recalled a heated argument he had with legendary Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson over a disagreement concerning agents.
The iconic midfielder often found himself on the receiving end of Ferguson's infamous 'hairdryer' treatment. A particularly intense episode occurred after a discussion about agents, which nearly led to Beckham's departure from the club. "That sort of media attention he was getting, becoming a celebrity, was different to what I wanted." Ferguson further added, "Getting David to keep his feet on the ground became more difficult. He was a good looking boy and he was well cut, so it was a great attraction for the media."
