The camera quickly panned away after the group began shouting and swearing during the broadcast.

A Sky News presenter was forced to stop a live broadcast after being surrounded by masked demonstrators and subjected to verbal abuse amid the chaos of a reported 'far-right march' in Birmingham on Monday, August 5.

A significant number of individuals amassed in the Bordesley Green vicinity, with speculation about a potential protest fuelling their gathering. Cameras captured the scene where protesters, many donning balaclavas and masks, gathered outside a local McDonald's.

She says: "Apologies for the language you are hearing but a sense of the anger you can hear there," as the camera hurriedly shifts focus. Back in the studio, anchorman Mark Austin intervenes saying, "Becky, I think we need to leave you there... We will have security there. I apologise once again for the language there," reports the Manchester Evening News.

In light of the alleged right-wing demonstration in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, West Midlands Police, MPs, and community figureheads had all issued pleas for serenity, advising the public to steer clear of the area. Around 300 individuals, predominantly Asian males, many clad in black and donning masks or coverings, gathered following the swift spread of a rumour online, according to BirminghamLive. A faction within the crowd claimed their presence was to 'shield the area from violence and thugs.'Get all the latest and breaking news in Yorkshire by signing up to our newsletter here.
