A number of death threats have been made against the killer of two gay men, Yousef Palani and his family, in prison.
The Sligo man who was born in Iraq and came to Ireland as a six year old suffered a number of non life threatening injuries. A Mountjoy source said: "Palani had made a complaint to the cops after he was beaten up but now the alleged attacker and his buddies are threatening and intimidating him."The prisoner and Palani are now being kept well away from each other. Palani is back in a cell on his own in isolation and well away from other prisoners for his own safety.
