Gardaí are investigating all circumstances following the crash on Sunday afternoon. Gardaí are also appealing for those with footage of the incident not to share it online. In a statement, the Connacht Motor Club, organisers of the race, confirmed that an incident occurred and that the race had been halted. They say that a further statement will be issued in due course.
