SNL Cold Open sees Biden and Psaki crowdsourcing TikTok stars on how to handle Russia's invasion of Ukraine
President Joe Biden and Press Secretary Jen Psaki asked TikTok creators how to win the information war with Russia in SNL's cold open on March 12. 'I suggested it as a joke and then it actually happened,' Psaki, played by Kate McKinnon, said. A 12-year-old TikToker, played by Aidy Bryant, suggested that Hunter Biden started Russia's conflict with Ukraine and asked for his laptop.
Jason DeRulo, played by Chris Redd, made an appearance, along with a woman mocking AnnaLynne McCord's bizarre poem about being Putin's mother. Comedian Kazuhisa Uekusa came in with a toilet plunger affixed to his nipple - in real life, the comedian has performed tricks with a toilet plunger. 'The idea of asking TikTok stars about Russia might sound like a joke, but remember - they said the same thing about the radio in WW2,' he said.
