It's a wet and cold day so far
Hot on the heels of some warm, pleasant weather last week, Greater Manchester is facing a barrage of wet and windy weather. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds until 10pm tonight .
Meanwhile, temperatures are not expected to reach double figures at all today. Manchester, Trafford and Salford could see the region's maximum of 9C according to the Met Office, while Oldham will not see temperatures climb above 7C. With the cool and wet weather in the forecast, there are some predictions that snow could fall in parts of Greater Manchester. A dusting of the white stuff is shown on the Met Office's weather map, for areas of higher ground to the east of Manchester, near the Peak District.
