The snow is back🥶
We may be half way through January but it looks like the winter weather is going nowhere. Snow has returned and covered parts of the country today, following Met Eireann’s double weather warning.
Temperatures are set to plummet to well into the minus degrees as parts of the country will see snow, with some already having snowfall. “It is nearly transparent ice that often looks like a harmless puddle or is overlooked entirely. The sheltered and shaded areas on roads, under trees and adjacent to high walls are prone to black ice."
Remove all snow from your vehicle before beginning your journey as any snow left on the roof of a car will become loose and can drop onto the windscreen during braking causing sudden and severe restriction to' vision.
