Unsubstantiated reports of a student with a gun sent a Lancaster County high school into lockdown Monday morning, police said.
No armed student or weapon was found after East Lampeter Township officers responded to Conestoga Valley High School around 10:24 a.m., police said. Several posts had reportedly circulated social media about an armed student. One police officer stayed at the scene after the building was searched, police said. Conestoga Valley’s lockdown has since been lifted.
“The school community is safe and regular classes have resumed. The investigation continues to determine the source of the report,” police said.
