The Royal Television Society celebrated the best of Irish television, and honoured the outstanding contributions of the many people who continue to make Irish production globally renowned.

On Tuesday 19 March, the Irish television industry gathered at Dublin’s Liberty Hall Theatre as the winners of the Royal Television Society Republic of Ireland Awards were announced, with 11 winners spread across RTÉ, Virgin Media, Sky Ireland and TG4. The highly recognised awards ceremony took place in Dublin’s Liberty Hall Theatre, with host Dermot Whelan at the helm. The ceremony honoured the outstanding achievements in Irish television programming over the past year and highlighted the many talented professionals in Ireland’s TV industry.The Six O’Clock Showon Virgin Media Television and recently won the hearts of the nation as a contestant on this year’s RTÉ’s.

On accepting her award, Katja Mia said: “I am beyond thrilled to be the recipient of the 2024 Breakthrough Talent Award. It means the absolute word to me to have my achievements recognised by RTS Ireland and the industry.
