Met Eireann is warning some parts of the country could experience up to four times the normal amount of rain over the next week.
Met Eireann's farming forecast says"the week ahead will be unsettled with frequent showers and rain, and some heavy downpours at times."As a result, rainfall amounts will largely be between two and four times higher than normal, with the wettest conditions expected in the west and southwest."
Farmers have said they want supports from the Government due to the amount of rain over the last few months preventing them from planting crops. "The exact details of the track remain a little bit uncertain, but the weather models show this developing into quite a nasty storm."
