Mick Wallace founded Wexford Youths and brought them into the League of Ireland, before they changed their name to Wexford FC, according to the Irish Mirror. Joseph played for the club in the First Division. "We are desperately saddened to hear of the passing of our former player and son of Mick, Joe Barry Wallace. We send our deepest sympathies to the Wallace family and all of his friends and clubmates. RIP Joseph," Wexford FC said in a statement on X.
Joseph is survived by his parents Patricia and Mick and his siblings Gráinne, Fionn and Sasha. "He will be greatly missed by his family, brother-in-law Aria, aunts, uncles, nieces, extended family, girlfriend Rheanna and his very many wonderful friends. Rest in Peace," a statement read on RIP.ie.A funeral service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Dublin on Saturday at 4pm, which can be viewed online here.
